Vent windo rubber install issues

Ok, I ponied up the big bucks a while back and bought the vent rubber when it was available. I finally got around to trying to install it. It is in there but I can not get it to seat enough so the vent closes.

Who has successfully installed these?

Nat, mine are in, but I'll confess that I didn't do it. I had the upholstery and glass shop do it when it was in for the interior work. They offered and it was cheap.

I will tell you though, mine doesn't fit terribly well either. The windows do close, but the rubber is all warped. It seems to seal when closed though (I threw a bucket of water at it to see).
