Valve lapping compound for NOS head and NOS valves

Hi,

Does anyone have a recommendation on the grit number (and brand) for the valve lapping compound that would be appropriate for a new old stock (NOS) 3F cylinder head and NOS valves?

You might want to have a machinist check the seats to ensure they are ground properly. New valves should also be checked as you can bend a valve just by holding the stem and pushing against the head with your thumb and they do get knocked around from shipping.
