Valve adjustment

Okay, I searched a little bit on this topic and came up dissatisfied!

Anyways, my 1997 80 has 245,000 miles on it. It sounds okay under the hood. But is there a point I should consider a valve adjust? ( of note: on the 2f engine in my 60 I adjust the valves every 30K or so, maybe just for fun!)

Pull the valve cover and check them, that's the only way to know. I just checked mine at 175k and all were in spec.
