I put a different pinion flange on my diff and I was told that once I took the nut off I had to replace the crush sleeve? why is this? Could it cause problems if I don't?
I'm also worried if I tightened the pinion nut too much. The rear pinion feels just as warm as the front pinion, so I bet that if I tightened it up too much, the pinion bearing would be heating up pretty good.
