I'm heading down to somewhere (TBA) in Utah next week, right now dates aren't fixed but likely 9th - 14th for a couple of days camping and to pick up my new trailer. If anyone has time on their hands and is interested in convoying all or part way, post a reply here. One of the folks I'm camping with is Nathan from Pangaea Expeditions, should be some good stories around the campfire. Probably won't do a ton of 4-wheeling as the purpose is really to pick up and get familiar with my trailer, but you never know.

Might I suggest that you make a priority to spend a day or two (or more) in the Moab area. The scenery there is amazing, and the wheeling is too.

Enjoy the trip. Wish I could head south again already...

I'll let you know after I return, I'll be camping for 3 nights and will do a few test setups/teardowns with plenty of pics.

After looking at all the trailers in Moab, you should have came down with us. That would have been a great location for selling your trailer. Or I could have hooked it up to my truck, then Jason would have not felt so lonely on the uphills.

I'm going to Moab in July, just before the cruiser summit, will make a post in case anyone couldn't make it to Cruise Moab and still wants to go this year. Will be taking my trailer just for that reason.

interesting, I'm curious, how long to set up and tear down the tent city though?

My answer is only a year late :o but it takes ~ 45 - 55 min to set up the main tent, and close to double that for the second room plus awnings. The thing that takes the most time is staking down the stay lines, there's one every 6 feet or so.

Not great for overnights (ala Whipsaw) but makes a fantastic base camp for 3 or more days (which is why I'm selling, not enough long trips)
