SOLD.

Complete Prado 120 center console conversion for your GX470. Includes everything needed for the center console conversion. Tall center console box, cup holder with separator, full shifter surround with all boots, black leather auto trans shift knob, silver upper trim, silver lower trim, and front lower switch panel. All black w/silver trim. (Meant for gray interior, but could work for tan if you want black center stuff).

As you can see from the pics, the armrests for both driver and passenger must be removed in order to fit this console. Removing the armrests leaves a hole and a metal protrusion (though the holes are somewhat hidden from view by the larger center console). I figured on making a plastic/3D printed cap to cover it or just run full seat covers from something similar that didnt have armrests like a Tacoma or 4runner.

Also, I never got around to figuring out fitting in the rear radio controls and the rear AC controls. There is a different rear console bezel that has an opening for the rear AC controls, but I did not get it and mine does not have it. I can give you the part number I found, but you will need to get it yourself. Also I'm not 100% the Prado controls will connect right up so it would take some ingenuity to get the GX controls to fit as the Prado AC controls look a bit different shape. Or go without rear radio and rear AC...

I gathered this stuff from Europe, Japan, and UAE for my personal GX470 and installed it for a few weeks and it absolutely rocks! But I'm getting rid of my GX so I pulled it all back out to hopefully let someone else get it that will truly appreciate it. Console and front shifter surround area is used but great condition. Cup holder and trim parts are all new.

what does the rear of the console look like? My GX doesn't have rear air so there's no concern with figuring out the rear AC controls; just don't want to have to deal with a big hole in the rear of the console.....

@txgringo The rear of the console is complete with an OEM non-controls rear panel that has a cubby space. Mines out in a box in the garage so cant get a photo at the moment, but heres a pic of one on eBay right now that shows you what it looks like.

Also, I didnt mention it in the first post and it's not letting me edit right now, but as you can see from the pics, the armrests for both driver and passenger must be removed in order to fit this console. Removing the armrests leaves a hole and a small metal protrusion (though the holes are somewhat hidden from view by the larger center console). I just bought myself a 2006 GX470 just a while ago and was digging around for a center console swap and discovered this form. I have the rear AC controls and was hoping to swap it with the UAE version with the coolbox. Is that even possible?

The coolbox could definitely be swapped in to the GX. You'd need to run the lines and wiring for it. As for coolbox and rear AC controls...working together... I'm not 100% certain, but I'd think so.

FWIW, the coolbox has way less "usable" space in it vs the non-coolbox (all that insulating material in the walls of the actual coolbox inside the console) and, though I've never had one in any vehicle, I know several folks who have them in 80 series and 200 series Cruisers and they all find them to be not very useful based on size and the fact that it is only operating when the vehicle is on. YYMV.
