I'm sourcing beefier aggressive tires for my lx470 and came across a decent set of Yokohama 275 70 16 in good shape and balanced according to previous owner on stock Lexus 16. My question is since thewe were balanced with the tires, when i get them home I should be able to mount them on the vehicle and there should be no concern regarding where they are mounted on the vehicle right? There is no discernment on whether these two go in front, back, right left? My thought process is since they were balanced with the tires, each one is already balanced. Is that sound thinking? Sorry noobie question but am getting into tricking out my ride a little more with this LX then other toyotas I've had because it's my first 4X4. TIA.

Yes, you can put them in any position, although if they do not have equal wear, then you should match the wear on each axle. You should also rotate them - I do it when I change the oil every 5k miles. I do backs to front, then fronts cross over to back. It doesn't matter your technique, as long as you are consistent.

Yes, if they're not a directional tire. If there are two of the four with more wear then I would pair them together on the same end of the vehicle.

You beat me to it! 😂

Check the wheel weights on each rim... put the wheels with the most weights in the rear, if the tires are not directional...

Not sure I understand your logic. You should rotate your tires, which means they eventually end up at every position, including the bumper if you’re a five tire rotator like me.

If you offroad much, the balance will also change over time as you tear up the tread and sidewalls.
