So we used to own a LX470, sold for a new es350, but now my brother needs a car. We are planning on a 4runner, specifically this one

http://www.mastermotorsofbuffalo.com/detail.aspx?id=3214908&PrefID=0&.aspx

Its a 2004 v8 sport 4wd. Now i was wondering if i could get some input. There is no ticking on cold, so the manifolds are fine (for now). We had to replace them on our LX at 85k miles, so I'm wondering if they have been replaced or about due. The car has also been oiled/ rustproofed at least one. Its not perfect underneath but its definitely cleaner then some i've seen. So some issues i know about are;
-exhaust manifolds (no ticking now)
-timing belt (about how much to get this changed?
- some small bubbling in bottom corners of rear window and at the bottom of the rear hatch but not bad at all

If anyone has any input on anything that would be great. Also for gas mileage, I've read some are getting 16, and some are gettin 21. Realistically what am i looking at for mainly highway driving? On our lx470 we were getting 14, but it was much heavier (Im assuming) and was only a 4 speed. (I will continue to search more on this issue, as well as other things)

These engine are fairly reliable from what ive read and experienced, but besides the timing belt, what other things should i be watching for if i do get it? I would also change the diff. fluid. 4RUNNERS in my area seem to get sold extremely quickly (western new york) so to find a black one that was a sport and a v8 fit my criteria perfectly, I just need more info on it and a more thorough test drive. Thanks again

No rush on timing belt if it still looks in good shape.. Unless you have to absolutely have it changed.. Mine went to 140K and still looked great after changing it lol.. I get about 18 average on my v8, same year, same model..

Go here.. Everything you'll need to know..;)
