LandCruiser 100 series uses HB4 as the Low Beam Bulb. The highest wattage one can get I believe is 55W. With the aging reflector, the amount of light striking the ground is nothing more than few candle lights!

NOTE: Demonstration Purposes Only: Check your Local and State Laws before you do this upgrade. Do this at your own risk.

I successfully installed a HB3 65W bulb into the low beam and is very satisfied with the light output.

Cost: Each bulb $3 (Rockauto) : Hella HB3 65W (made for high beam for LC 100 series)
Two O-rings: ID about 17.2 to 17.4 mm and OD 22.4 mm:

A) Cut the plastic tabs on the light bulb all the way: Picture-1
B) Remove the existing O-ring (3rd picture: O-ring to left)
C) Install the new O-ring (3rd picture: O-ring to right: thickness 2.62 mm)
D) HB3 bulb is now ready to install! (4th Picture)

O-Ring is available at Harbor freight but it comes as a kit (2nd Picture 67525 $10) O-ring number on this kit is A115 (Last Picture) or Local Hardware store

This is the first time I've seen the SI unit of candela used since taking radiometry and detection in grad school.
