A few things got done early this morning, and being completed currently....

Search: Sphinx is the new 'engine' powering it. Initial testing shows an 8x speed increase in search times.

Changed the webserver software from Apache to Litespeed. Finishing setups on that now. Litespeed is about 6-8x faster than Apache for serving pages.

Other minor tweaks have been done too, including many of the config files.

Hopefully, all smoothed out by noon.

I keep getting an error screen. This is what it says

Warning: require(/home/forum/titleimage/showthread.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/forum/vbseo.php on line 1577

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/forum/titleimage/showthread.php' (include_path='.:/var/lsws/lsphp5/share/pear') in /home/forum/vbseo.php on line 1577

I'm various errors seemingly randomly.

loaded fine on refresh

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/forum/titleimage/forumdisplay.php' (include_path='.:/var/lsws/lsphp5/share/pear') in /home/forum/vbseo.php on line 1577

getting blank white pages too...got one trying to read this thread, hit refresh, got the 'out of memory' error, hit refresh, and got thru.

smileys are displaying wrong too, intermittently

Look at the confused smiley in these screen captures from the same page, i.e. both versions were displayed at the same time on the same page. When I refreshed the page they were both the squished, blurry version:

tried a setting to 'fix' all image sizes...and that messed up EVERYTHING...need to go in and adjust a few dozen settings for it to work...

un-set for now...
