The Kymeta receiver is relatively large, 1/3 of the SUV roof. SpaceX is deployed, but it has a fixed radius for now and you cannot travel with it. Still a bit early.

I've just taken delivery of a Starlink Mini.

So I thought this might be a good thread to mention that with high speed internet on-the-road or in the wilderness you can take your home network with you.
To do this I've used a free network service called ZeroTier for a few years now.
Up until now, I've just my cell phone's data plan or whatever free WiFi was around.

WhatZeroTier does is create a virtual secure network with a unique ID for you so your computers, or anyone's computers that you allow can appear to be on one network. It requires creating an account with them, installing their client on every computer or phone, and connecting with your permission to your network. One does not have to be connected all the time, just when you desire and you get to decide what your Network range is.

The benefit is that if you can then treat computers joined on this virtual network as one LAN, just like your home LAN.
For example, I have a machine that is a huge file server that provides remote SMB file mounts to all the computers on my home network.
In the field I just use the new IP address provided by ZeroTier to do the same thing on my laptop or phone.
I can also use remote desktop to create remote sessions and log into other computers in the field, just like at home.
For example, you could use remote desktop to help your brother diagnose a computer problem he's having.

For example, using IPV4 examples, the home IP addresses of some computers might be as follows:
Your PC #1 192.168.1.250
Your PC #2 192.168.1.157
Your phone 192.168.1.156
Your brother's PC 192.168.2.54
Your mother's PC 10.1.1.37
etc...
In the field the IPaddress from Zero Tier might be something like this:
Your PC #1 10.147.17.204
Your PC #2 10.147.17.77
Your phone 10.147.17.120
Your brother's PC 10.147.17.137
Your mother's PC 10.147.17.228
etc...

Anyway, just thought I'd mention this as it's been really handy for me.
