Uniden PRO520XL ...question

After reading some of the posts i decided to get me a Uniden pro 520xl it seams like it would be a good fit for my needs. After searching on Ebay most are selling for about $50 but there is one that sells for $95 with( shipping ) because it had been modified Uniden PRO520XL ...Super Tuned Mod Kit Installed

My question to you guys is, Super Tuned vs not tuned does it make a big difference... I do not have a lot of experience with CB and nothing to compare it with. Any one had that modification made to their CB i would appreciate the input.

Dont bother with the moded one, just get the stock 520. Even a 510 will work great. You can even find refurbished unidens on their website for a few bucks cheaper. (just looked and they have a 510 for $30)

CBs are basically just used for trail comms anymore. If you want something more flexible and with some real power for general and emergency use, look into ham radios.

The only reason i would be interested in it if it gave a better range....

Again I would bother. Just pick a 510, 520 whatever for CB comm.
