Undercarriage assessment on 200 series.

I am not sure why the lower control arm mount was replaced on one side. Car fax does not show any major accidents. Sales person explanation was due to corrosion. He asked master tech.

“I got with my shop tech and he said he would think it would have been replaced because of corrosion. That bolt runs a couple inches deep into that part.”

Is this something I should be concerned?

Looks pretty cherry.

Maybe they just couldnt get a seized alignment cam to properly work, so they had to chop it out. This can happen on the cleanest of Toyota/Lexus trucks.

Reminds me I really aught to get under there and anti-seize mine....if they budge.

That’s fairly clean under there. The lower mount is part of the vehicle frame… I doubt it was sectioned out and replaced, more likely cleaned off for some sort of work.

@bjowett thank you for looking. I am afraid that they section it off. Would that be considered frame damage? I am 7 hours from it.

Prob not frame damage, definitely looks like it seized. Have them take a couple more pictures of that lower A and corner inside. Rust looks great.
