Ultragauge drained battery again

I filled the gas tank 2 days ago. This required me to go into the ultragauge menu and indicate that the tank it full using one of the options.

It seems that when you do not exit this menu; the scan gauge stays active even when the engine is turned off. As a result the battery was drained this morning.

Has anyone else experienced this ?

Battery drain (concerns about)

It seems to be "normal" if I understand the above link correctly. That is very disappointing

Not easy to just pull the cable off to kill the power either.
