Vehicle is 1990 4Runner.

For those who have replaced this, do you recommend removing intake manifold- sort of a big job-or is this not necessary? Thanks.

Removed plenum and got the old hose off, now just have to get the new one on! Figured it’s time to replace a lot of the 32 year old rubber.

Mission accomplished, all three bypass hoses replaced. The old U shaped hose looked to be weeping just a tiny bit. The front most bypass hose sprung a pin hole leak a couple years ago that took me awhile to locate. That one is replacable without taking stuff apart. The third hose is behind throttle body.

Also: Desmog completed, rear heater bypassed and valve cover gaskets replaced. 11 bolts per side for the covers, a couple were difficult for me to access even with throttle body and plenum out of the way. I thought there was a rear main oil leak, but it now appears the covers were responsible for all the leakage.
