I spend a week in Colorado and took the GX over a few passes. We did Ophir, Imogene, Black Bear, Hancock, and Tincup. I had done these before in my dad’s Wrangler, but this was my first trip to the mountains in my GX. It was a great time and I was impressed with what it could do. There was only one point that I couldn’t follow the wrangler (I tried but was going to destroy the front bumper if I continued). It just climbed over whatever was in front of me. It was a great trip!
I got the GX 6 months ago in GREAT condition with all new OEM suspension (bags and shocks). I’ve removed the steps, lifted the front 1.75” and the rear 1.25”, added 265/70 BFG KO2s, added 1.25 spidertrax spacers, and added the big trans cooler. I ran between 17psi-22psi depending on the trail. I averaged a little over 17mpg on the highway miles (actually calculated) cruising ~75mph. It was a total of 2677 miles with no issues.
