This feels like the single dumbest question I have ever had to ask.
But i need to ask...

'83 BJ60 (JDM, rhd) - is the engine meant to turn off when i turn the key
back? ie from "On" back to "Acc"... Because mine doesn't. I can turn the
key completely off and remove it, but the engine will keep running. I have
a kill switch. It looks like the hood release pull except it has a picture of a fuel
bowser(sp?) Its just to the bottom left of the steering wheel..

so is there a problem with my shutoff or is this normal? (surely this isnt normal!)

sounds like the edic was shot and since they are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Next best thing was a manual kill lever. Sure sound like it's better than a piece of string through the apron that you have to get out and pull ;)

Use to own a '77 Subaru that did the same thing, only my "kill" switch comprised of the clutch, 1st gear, and parking brake if you get my meaning...

I'd have to say no...This isn't normal.
