Didn't you have that DIY turbo all good to go??

Still have that kicking around?

I did and the room to run it on a 70 was just not that much with a sloped hood and flipped mainifold. with a 40 or 60 it's possible. Then I was in the bolt on mode and the stork delivered me baby girl instead of a turbo. I'll take that any day though ;p

So i'm kinda back to DIY mode since funds are low but I dunno what I'm going to do yet.... I dunno if I can drive it another year in the mountains without a turbo :(

Hopefully we'll see it on the new owners bj42 one of these days...

Then it probably won't fit on my 73

Yeah... and it's a small turbo. Flipping the manifold won't work unless you use a U pipe or something similar. With the amout of room in a 7x it's probably best to get a 3bt manifold and then adapt from there. At least that's what I've come to the conclude about it.

I am sure you know those prices are Australian dollar, which means the price is actually several hundred US dollars less than what you have posted, I bought the GT28 kit and am happy with it. It spools up very fast and puts out up to 13lbs boost, I have the fuel turned up 2/3 of the way, and NO SMOKE at all! even going up hill at high altitude. I am running 295/70 size ATKO tires fyi.

Do you mind posting a pic where the return line goes?

I can kinda see it going to the oil filter area and the supply line comes out from there too....

I can and will post a pic of return line, but it will be a while, work sux!!! I'd rather be turning wrenches on my cruiser right now.
