Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who can tune an E38 ecm in the Phoenix area. I’m getting close to finishing my swap to a 2015 L96 6.0. I’d rather have someone in the metro area that I can deal with directly instead of mailing it out of state. I need Vats delete, rear O2 delete and MAF tuning because I used a different MAF sensor and the intake tubing is larger than factory that came with the express van.

It really isn't that hard to tune yourself.

HP Tuner MPVI 4 + HP Tuner Credits. The latter will be part of the cost if you pay someone to tune but those credits will be forever tied to their MPVI.

Vats delete, and rear O2 delete is easy. MAF tuning is just modifying the MAF curve until your LTFT approaches zero.

Easier if you have a wide-band O2 sensor, which is how I tuned my L96.

I needed to multiply my MAF curve by 133% to get my LTFT to near zero. My 4" air intake flows way more air than the factory GM stock intake...

I did weld in a bung for a wide band O2 sensor, I just haven’t bought it yet. You have helped a lot on mine by answering my questions and I really appreciate it. If you wouldn’t mind putting up with some more questions I might take on programming the ecm. I am a little worried about turning the ecm into a brick.

To prevent bricking, never touch the key when writing a tune. Key should stay on and remain on during the write.

Only do a full write if you are doing VATS delete otherwise just write the calibration. The latter is much safer.

To be extra safe, one can buy a bench harness.

First, save the original tune.

Then do one change at a time..write down that change, rename that tune to match what changed, and then write the tune to the ECM.

Just need to watch the first 4 videos from this playlist:
