Tundra Tailgate assist shock (1 Viewer)

Anyone know of a tailgate assist shock made to fit 2nd gen Tundras? I got spoiled with the factory one on my Taco. The Tundra gate is pretty heavy for the wife to open without a bit of drama. I found an eBay listing for an OEM Toyota part, but I’m skeptica.

I got some from Amazon. They initially sent two for the same side. Thankfully it was the one that was failing. It's been good since around Christmas. I'll replace the other when it goes south.

That’s what I thought too. My dealers parts guy (they are good) said my vin does not show one. It’s weird that a Platinum wouldn’t come with that.
