tundra gears 3.91 or 4.10?

Is there any easy way to find out exactly what gearing im running with out taking it apart or the vin #?

If you're talking about your 01, it's got 3.91s in it. I think maybe the V6 had 4.10s and some of the DoubleCab V8s after 2004, but the early first gen V8s were 3.91s. If you've got a window sticker saved back somewhere it states the gear ratio...

The basic breakdown is:

6cyl, manual, 2wd = 4.083
6cyl, manual, 4wd = 4.10
6cyl, auto, 4wd = 4.30
8cyl, auto, 2wd = 3.916
8cyl, auto, 4wd = 3.909

The vin will tell you..
