How did you get it to fit. I can't find the long bolts to reach the stock nuts. I have cut the holes and have it lined up. but can't find the bolts.

Also, how did you bring up the back end to level with the front end sitting on the tranny hump? (admit it is not way off level but some..)

Maybe you can find some metric all-thread...aka threaded rod. Then you can make any length "bolt" you want. Also, some fastner shops sell connectors to screw two pieces of threaded rod together. It's like a really long nut. Use one of these to connect two shorter bolts together. You'll have to cut the head off of one of course.

Thanks Doug.

I'll look into the connect-o-thread deal. And didn't know to ask about the "all thread". So I'll hit the streets again...

Or you can do what I did, drill out the captured nuts and run some 3/8" bolts down through the Tuffy and throw some nylock nuts on it and call it done....

pretty sure I just used the stock OEM hardware or some leftover OEM hadware I had laying around. Mine just sat perfectly leve, didnt have to do anything.....that I remember.

but I suspect that your 84 and my 86 are different, the OEM consoles changed in 85 or early 86........mine is a 86

Done Deal

Found some long 5mm allan heads in Portland, OR. got her bolted in.

Yeah LandPimp...I figured mine was different from the 85 + year models..Can't just bolt in a h55 either Huh..

Anyway it's in and just slightly lower at the back (slightly, 1/4" maybe)

Anyhow I'll photo it next week.

I'm heading out on a Cruierabout tomorrow to far eastern Oregon, donw to Steens mt and around about..

FWIW, I measured the tuffy in my 60, its the 8" version NOT the 10"

here is a simple little bracket i made for the front mount....when you tighten the bolt up it sandwiches the concole down onto the hump in front of it, making it more stable....the rear holes are just drilled out and about a 3 inch bolt used (of course it was metric something)...it doesnt move around at all
