I was a member of this group and went on a couple runs about 10 years ago. I lived in Phoenix at the time. I moved away and then back and now down in Tucson. I'd be very appreciative of any feedback on solid and trusted shops in Tucson. I'm more in Marana but def not against driving for a good shop. My girlfriend has a 2018 Corolla, so they'd be getting 2 customers. Thanks in advance and I did some searching prior to posting this but didn't find many specifics.

I just picked up a 2000 LX470 and the PO used a few places. Going through his records I took mine to Ramsower's on Dodge and I believe Ft. Lowel. I took my LX there for a total brake job, rear shocks and a CV axle replacement. He also adjusted the torsion bars up front. They had quite a few GX 470's there and seemed to know his way around all things LC/LX. Worth a shot.

Ramsower's was great but they sold it several years ago. New owners are ok but not the same. Not taking my Toyota to that shop anymore.

Hmm, out of curiosity, what do you not like about the new owners? I think the owners name is Jack, thought they did good work but like I said, I’m new to the game. If you don’t mind me asking, who do you use now?

Just had a better experience with Carl Ramsower. He talked shop with me one time and explained his process to diagnose an issue I was having on my 80. Fixed it for a reasonable price and I appreciated his personal touch. I went in there again some time later and didn't know the shop was sold. I'm sure they do good work over there but didn't work out that way for me so I never went back. I remember feeling like I got raked over the coals. This was many years and several Toyotas ago for me so I don't recall all the details but I remember it leaving a bad taste in my mouth. More recently, have had good experience with Dan's Toy Shop. Also, if you can get on the schedule, talk to Onur (OGBeno) down in Sonoita at Overland Cruisers.
