Tube Doors!

Well it's been just over 2 years since these tube doors were made and I'm just getting around to posting :meh:

The same place who was making tube doors for Marlin made mine. They made them in the same style as the doors they made for Marlin but to the 80's spec using my truck for a few days. It's made of 0.120-wall 1-1/2" HREW tube. It has a spring loaded latch with a rubber pad to prevent rattling. Here's the link to door they made for Marlin; JCB TUBE DOORS!

Removing of the factory doors was not difficult. However removing the wiring was pretty involved in fishing everything through the door while removing. It would be great if there were a plug that you could just unplug to disconnect all the wires in one shot. Just open your door and look at the wire loom in the door jam, lots of wires! It would be involved to put one huge plug on it, say right inside body below the A pillar, but would make taking the doors off alot easier, especially if you plan on taking them off/on multiple times.

Immediatly after getting behind the wheel with the new tube doors on I felt the truck was actually smaller and I felt more attached to every movement of the truck. Unfortunatelly, I only kept them on for a month or so and never did take them wheeling.
