New guy here. 2000 LX470. Climate control issues. The AC will not turn off. It is always on. I do not have a cooling drawer nor a cooling button to push. The "Defrost" button doesn't do anything. The recirc/fresh air is stuck on in "Auto". Any advice?

Those buttons wear out and you really gotta press them with some gentle force to react. There is a recent thread on here with a fix that requires some disassembly and touching up the backside of the button with some conductive paint.

Clarification.

The PCB is held up against the buttons with plastic legs/risers and metal screws.
The legs break over time.
CruiserPatch was selling this for a while.

and cruiserdm sells this one.

I posted about CaiKote not too long ago. Not sure if it has been posted prior or since but I am still with perfectly functional buttons on the HVAC control panel. Well worth the $ and the time to complete the repair.
