Thats a great looking troopie, troopy or whatever.

The birfs are probably fine spline so all you need to do is swap knuckles and the master cylinder and your fine.

I'm waiting for pics of one on 35" or bigger tires. Yours might be the first one.

the are fine spline, so it'll be a very simple disc brake swap.

Georg, most SA 45s did not come with full floaters, this was covered in another thread, also mine is an '82 and has drums all around. The 16" rims are required to clear the big ass non-US drums. I've got the FJ60 wagon wheel style 16" split rims with the ring on the back side of the rim.

i'm pretty sure that all the troopie sup till the end of 81 had drum brakes,

Completely off topic: I watched a documentary once that had a East African 60 series with drum brakes up front as well (brakes overheated or something, had the wheel and drum off the front).

Nice troopie MSBoy!

this thing rides too good like it is. i think a little bit of lift will be enough for a while. 32's maybe 33's.

my buddy has some disc brake knuckles laying around from his soa conversion. i'm sure he'll come off of them, so a disc swap should be sooner than later.

good thinking. you might as well drive it the way it is and enjoy it for a while before turning it into a project. it'll also give you time to finalize your plans on how to build it or what you'd want to change on it. i ove driving mine just the way it is.:)

Let's see a pic of your spare carrier, my troopie has it underneath like a 45 pu. My tire carrier was actually a factory gas can carrier. Those wing windows on the doors are sweet.

Cruiser Ken could probably show you a picture of the pieces you are missing.

As for a Troopie, oh I'll get me one oneday. I will, I will, I will.

Wife says I have met my 3 cruiser limit, so something will have to give.

I have sweetened her to the thought of a Troopie thanks to the ER episode where the Troopie crashes through the fire.
