Hey folks,

Searched a ton of previous threads but didnt really find the information that i needed. The troopy has a vinyl front and bench passenger. I want to get them rebuilt and reupholstered with similar fake leather water proof material that was in my nissan.

Ive heard of the unicorn ARB replacement seats but have not been able to find any information about them. Maybe my google foo is weak.

My plan for building the troopy includes keeping everything looking stock "like", hence me looking into getting them reupholstered. Does nayone have any information on either option above?

Opinions welcomed

My Ute most likely has the same vinyl seats and configuration as your 75 Series and a local upholstery shop was able to rebuild the seats with material that was a near perfect match. The seats are actually quite unique, they keep you cool in the Winter and warm in the Summer. :)

Thanks, when you say material that was a near perfect match, do you mean the stock vinyl or did you go with something else. If the latter, do you recall the type?

To say stock would be a stretch but the material was VERY close to the original vinyl both in color and texture.

any upholstery shop will be able to rebuild/re-upholster your seats I had mine done a few years back for $350NZD (aprox $250USD) it wasn't the exact colour vinyl but close enough for me. My 40 series seats were re-upholstered before I got it and was done in leather and the drivers seat padded up a bit more

I brought these BJ73 and fitted them in my ute very comfy compared to the vinyl bench buckets. I just wish I could have got the suspension to fit the hj75 but maybe one day I go back and fit bj73 floor pans.
