Nice looking rig but not a "Landy" (AKA Land rover). Apparently they are okay but not great on fuel. Lots of arguements over which engine 80 series engine is better. Maybe BB has some words of wisdom for you? Got to like the lockers. I think you should buy it and save some money for a 1HDT or a 1hZ swap in the long term. Sure a lot easier than going across the border.:D

Offtopic...but your sig says Nissan forrester? aka "The potato it is uninformed" ??

Nice looking 80 tho, thats what I need. I wonder if he wants a beat up V840,,,er I mean a magnificent specimen of rock crawling uberness in trade?

Nope, but an expected guess. ;)

Toynut, just buy it for the value of the lockers, frame and body and be happy - no second guessing, eh?

... Or you better buy Dan's rig before it is gone from the Club page for ever. He might even throw in that special trailer for the right money.:grinpimp:

It's a nice looking wagon for a good price, but it won't likely get you any better gas mileage than that FJ62 you were shocked over ridiculous fuel consumption .

A friend of mine picked up an 80 ( American ) 130 miles tripple locked for 3600 bucks almost mint . You can pick up American 80s ALL DAY for 5- 8000 grand . 11-12 mpg No Thanks

I already pointed one out to him that is FS in Bellingham. I think he has issues with getting over the 49th.

If you can get a locked rust less LC for $3,600 and do a diesel swap eventually for under $10,000, you'd think there would be no need for discussion. Come on a locked and loaded LHD oil burner 80 for under $14,000.

Yeah, sweet truck. I have been thinking of this for awhile, like I need another LC, but I do LOVE the 60 series.

price seems fine for a gasser, in Canada no less. Ask Semlin if he can go look at it for you, he lives there.

The gassers are hard on fuel. A Bj60 seems about all the cruiser I want to play with. The newer 80's like a 95 are supposedly better on fuel than my 91. But either way they use it hard.
