Another great trip in the record books. This time we ran into a little bit of trouble and had to winch ourselves out twice in one day. It was all part of the adventure!

Great write up. I have read many of your posts and am ready to steal a few of your routes and ideas. This may be one. I have always loved the area surrounding Independance but have mainly been on the eastern Sieera side. I will be heading up to Mammoth and will be diverting to the Brislcone pines this time for a visit. No time for this area this time but maybe next year
