Has anyone used one of the Treeline outdoors roof top tents? I'm in the market for a RTT and these look really nice, especially the goal zero. I was just wondering if any mud member have some feedback to share.
Thanks in advance
Anthony
I just bought the constellation I think it is called. Got the annex too. I think it is is great. Takes about 7-10 minutes to put up correctly but the end result is awesome. If your rig is lifted get a step stool. I have a 3" lift and 285's, the tent is on a Prinsu rack. I am 6'1" and setting it up without a step stool is a total pain in the ass. No design flaw, the tent just has a few more steps than some but the fly, Windows, skylights, and window eves are worth the few extra minutes.
There at some areas in the seams that need sealing but that is every tent. I think the design is solid overall and the founder, Char Kendrick is very responsive and helpful during the sales process.
Ultimately I went with this tent bc the shape is more like a more standard backpacking tent designed for wind, rain and snow. I backcountry ski a lot and also will use it at the ski hill parking lot all winter and needed something that. CAn handle snow load. Some of the other boxy designed tents just have all the wrong angles for snow and wind. They are great for the outback where they are designed to be used but not snow and rain.
I really like the hard shell tents and almost bought one, but they are pretty small and spending a lot of time in a small tent in the winter sucks.
If you have specific questions let me know. This is my first RTT so I am no expert, but I do like the tent a lot.
