Project: Kane Creek Safari Route Trailhead Kiosk Project
Location:
Utah

On April 1, Tread Lightly! partnered with the Bronco Wild Fund and the Bureau of Land Management to complete a second stewardship project during the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.

The team convened at the Moab Skyway Day Use Area parking lot, where TL! staff, two Moab BLM representatives, and three dedicated volunteers reviewed project goals before heading out through Kane Creek Canyon. Despite rainy conditions, the group remained committed as they traveled to the Kane Creek Safari Route trailhead to begin work.

Following a BLM-led safety briefing, the team successfully installed a durable steel kiosk and updated trailhead signage. The new display includes a detailed route map, responsible OHV recreation tips, and current regulations designed to guide visitor behavior.

This project delivers meaningful impact by improving visitor education, encouraging responsible recreation practices, and supporting long-term protection of natural and cultural resources along one of the area’s most heavily traveled routes.

Tread Lightly! extends its appreciation to Red Rock 4-Wheelers, Bronco Wild Fund, Moab BLM staff, and all volunteers for their collaboration and dedication in making this Easter Jeep Safari stewardship project a success.

Thank you to the partners who made this possible:
