Anyone want to help me with replacing my TRE's this weekend (March 9)? I live in Bay Park, which is the Mission Bay/Clairemont area of town.

It seems easy and pretty straight forward, but I've never done it. Having someone there to walk me through it would probably shave hours off if I do alone.

Why should you help me? The list of reasons is extensive!!

  1. I have beer running the gamut from hydration type (Miller Lite), home brew, IPA, to Belgian quads and russian stouts.
  2. The greatest taco shop in the San Diego area is three minutes from my house.
  3. .......
Well, that's pretty much all I got. Oh, and I have scotch! And I think I have a cigar laying around somewhere, I'm sure I can find it if you want it.

I've got the tools, just need the experinced know-how. So if anyone is willing to give me a hand this Saturday it would be much appreciated and hopefully reciprocated at some point!

I would love to help even though, I've never done them either, but we are running a trail Saturday morning then heading out to the desert.

Do you have a preference on where you do the work? ( I.e. your place or mine)

I'm not sure what the Phalcon plan is for the weekend so I'm exploring options.

No preference, I was just planning on my place. If you are up for doing it at your place I'm open to that for sure.

Are you planning on using a puller or pickle fork? Pickle fork and 4lb hammer easily removed mine from the steering knuckles. To remove them from the links I had to put the links in the vise, use a little heat, a few taps from the hammer, and a large pipe wrench.

Make sure to take some measurements of the lengths of the links before you remove them. You can use This Method for setting your own alignment afterwards.

I am unavailable the 9th for my daughters combined birthday. However if it is the 10th or following weekend, I can help.

I’m tied up the 9th for daughters birthdays(one on the 3rd and the other on the 10th. If this happens to roll to the next weekend, I can help both days. Maybe your initial job and any other loose ends you have. Location is fine regardless. Would like to return the favor for slider install.
