TRD??? is it worth it?

I bought the TRD and love it. But then again I don't really modify my vehicles with anything other than factory options because of warranty issues. It does look sharp in person. And the shift knobs in the manual are only available on the TRD and they are a hot commodity. Good luck with whatever choice you make!

well my friend you're in luck, TOYOTA is great when it comes to aftermarket/warranty issues. many aftermarket parts from reputable suppliers (ARB, Old Man Emu etc) can be installed at the dealership preserving your warranty, additionally many of these parts can even be purchased from many dealers. so mod away buddy!:beer:
 
I'm a little sentimental about the fJ40 having owned one for 35 years. So I like the white roof and the other 40-like features. I think the answer boils down to: if you own a TRD, yes; if not, no.
 
I'd have to say that the options are nice and my non-TRD has everthing the TRDSE has (except i have nicer 17's and bigger tires). But for 7K less you could have the same rig with a white roof.
