Greetings:

I have noticed that when I put her in drive immediately after starting the engine, I apply gas to the pedal, the engine will rev but the truck will crawl away from stopped position. Once moving it will eventually act normally within a few hundred feet.

However, if I start the engine and wait a few seconds for everything to get up to preasure before putting it into drive, then everything responds as it should. Tranny fluid has been changed on a regular basis. (drain and fill).

Does this seem normal? Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Steve

My '93 HDJ81 does this exactly, especially if it's cold out. I think (emphasis on 'think') that this is normal, it just needs to build pressure.
