Has anyone ever used this fluid: 00718-ATF00 for Transmission and/or Power Steering? According to Toyota this is the fluid recommended for the 2000 LC for both transmission and power steering. I always thought the Type T-IV was the recommended transmission fluid and that "Toyota doesn't make power steering fluid." Any feedback is appreciated.

I just checked - Google AI says T-IV, but Dextron III is what my manual calls for in both the trans and PS. I use Valvoline Maxlife with great results.

I don’t know if T-IV is a modern equivalent, but lately I’ve noticed you need to verify the AI answer with another source or two. A few weeks ago it gave me incorrect cylinder numbering, of all things.

Your power steering system on the 100 series indeed takes ATF fluid not PS fluid...... DexIII or greater ( example , Valvoline max life multi ATF is fine here )

Your transmission calls for the same.... To be honest, this is the one service I've had Toyota do for me in the past but just go with whatever your manual calls for or better. Plenty of forums on Mud with more folks experience
