Transfer case for auto

My 1hz powered, auto trans 70 series has a push button on the dash for the hub lock and H4, but it often fails to engage as soon as I want. The floor shifter for 4low always works

Can this t-case be converted to a full manual operation and eliminate the dash buttons? Will twin stick or other shifter parts for a FJ62 split case work?
