19,500 miles. Changed the tcase fluid. Real easy job, 2 bolts to loosen the skid plate, and drain/fill. Make sure to take the fill bolt out first.

The language is fairly loose for a 75w oil in the manual.

  • Toyota LF 75W: ~7.5 cSt @100 °C
  • Motul 75W-85: ~11.8 cSt @100 °C

The Toyota fluid has a pretty stout additive package. The smell when draining it is pretty strong for a light weight oil. I wouldn't consider this a long life fluid.

I used Motul 75w-85 as shown above.

I saved some LF 75w to send to blackstone. It was kinda dark but not too bad. I would recommend changing it around 30-40k miles at most.

Put 200 miles on it and its moderately smoother, that rocking-bump motion in rolling traffic (feels like when you cant drive a manual trans properly) has been reduced some.

I will probably run 75-90 next at around 50k miles. Since the front diff uses 75-85 I can just use my current left over there.

Changed today at 30k. Front diff looked nasty.
if anybody is looking for torque spec, here it is:
Transfer Case Fluid 1.89 QTS filler/drain plugs Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf/cm, 27 ft.lbf)
Differential Gear Oil Front 1.23 QTS fill/drain : 39.2 N*m (400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf)
Differential Gear Oil Rear,w/Limited Slip Differential 5.55 QTS (49 N*m (500 kgf*cm,36 ft.*lbf)

I didnt change the washers. They arent the yellow/gold crush ones. (You asked yesterday but I was busy to reply).

What fluids did you use? Assuming you have an Fsport with Torsen? But that and the tcase should be clutchless.

Does anyone know what other vehicles run this Tcase besides the 300/600/700?

And good info on the front diff. Do you plan to send off a sample?

I have used Valvoline 75-90 full synth in front and rear diffs, but mostly mobil1 on lc200 previously. Valvoline was on sale. For the T case I stuck with OEM 75W (found it on ebay with discount). Intrestingly I had a center diff error on lc200 when used mobil1 75-90 in T case but then changed to 75W and it went away.
My F sport has a sticker on rear diff saying LSD only. Valvoline 75-90 has LS additives so I think should be good.

Left to right:
Copper washer - Front drain
Flatr washer - T case drain and fill
Collapsible washer - Front fill, rear drain and fill.
Amazon usually sells them as a kit good for a few services.

T case oil almost identical to fresh 75W from the can. I am at 30K. On LC200 first change was at 60K and it was almost black

I didnt collect or took photos. It was milky grey color... I dont think I have seen anything like it. Magnet had a lot of black paste. I am in PNW with rain but I didnt drive it in water. Wonder about the color. Next change sooner and probably 20K

Also tried lubing zerks on drive shaft but reached only the rear one and it took 3 puffs to get lube to come out from seals

How many zerks does it have? I have the skid plate off it still so I can hit them

I think 4 if remember right. front 3 have access issues. Every joint i palpated had a zerk but they were rotated away with frame, exhaust on the way for front ones.

Thats really thinking ahead. Thanks toyota.

Let me see if I can figure out any tricks in the next couple weeks when I get the motivation to do it…
