Transfer case breather

Is it a good idea to put tubing on the t-case breather to get the intake up higher?

If Yes, how does the original breather and cap come off or out of the t-case?

Yes it is a good idea... There is a cap which is crimped on.... you pry that off and push on a hose and clamp. its not very long...
I have drilled and tapped mine but that was done when the case was out for an overhaul....
