I would advise, regardless, that Alky start pinching pennies if that tranny is dying. Personally, I would grab one out of a junkyard and throw it in after cleaning it really well.

Well, it's not detrimental that I replace it even this year, but if it keeps deteriorating at the same rate that it has been, by 2009 I will be hurting for a new one. Right now I have a little cash waiting for a 3-link, but if that doesn't work out then I'm considering gears or tranny work or front axle beefyness.
