yep. been there, done that. thats about what it looked like when i fried my winch.

Just got back from Tupelo. We had a couple of good shows and I found a nice trail in the Tombigbee nat'l forest. Didn't have time to run it all. It looked pretty extensive. Also got up on a friends land on one of the highest points in MS. We ran some trials he said hadn't seen a vehicle since the wagon wheels that made 'em. The leaves were gorgeous up there.

Didn't get over to Pickwick. Saw the pix. The scenery looks real nice. Have to check it out sometime.

What's up Howard? You'll definitely have to make. Everyone is guaranteed a good time.

That PicWic trip would be great.

Cruise 60 up the Trace almost all the way there.

We can even stop by Hell Creek in New Albany and visit Tom!

Please keep us posted on the next PicWic ride.

When do y'all want to go? I know some from 'round here would be interested...

I'd be in for a trip to pickwick anytime. probably even get some folks from tupelo to join us. wouldn't be cruisers, but...

BTW even though I grew up in Tupelo, I saw this post and had nothing to offer.:crybaby: The only places I could think of were all gray areas that I wouldn't suggest unless you're with a good 'ole boy or 5...

Barry, any details on that tombigbee trail? I'm thinking about dragging the 40 home around christmas and would love some details

I once lived at Pickwick but moved while in the 7th grade. Lot's of rocks. There have got to be some trails up there.

Look on page 26 of the Mississippi Delorme map. the trails are in section E-2. To Get there, take the Natchez Trace from Tupelo, turn right onto CR 413 near the Chickasawa WMA. Go a mile or so till you get to CR 129. Turn right onto CR 129. At this point you are on dirt in the nat'l forest. Turn right onto CR 272 after a mile or so. Take CR 272 till you cross owl creek. On the map it parrallels the county line. Just after Owl Creek you will see some ungated/unposted trails going off to the right. To your right is a swampy lake. The trails spider web from there. They range from mild to deep doodoo. Some of them disappear into the bog. They go uphill to the left. I went no further in that direction. Saved for another day. Watch out for Hunters.

Let me get my windshield and cage back in first!! At this point, we're probably talkin 2008.
