Anyone in the DMV (dc, md, va) area know of any good trails I run my rig through? Legally? I just upgraded some components and would like to go through some trails with a fellow mudder from the DMV

Thanks in advance.

Depends on how far you want to drive. Shoe Creek will put your skill to the test. Google-shoe creek trail va

There are a few others down this way, if you are interested I will get you some more info.

Nice! This is exactly what I'm looking for. This will be my first crack at hitting a trail and I'm looking forward to going to Shoe Creek soon. Perhaps next week.

Check out this link. What level of difficulty are you looking for?
Come check out the CLCC section too since you're in our area.

Wheelin for Hope

The spring and summertime get a bit more active for the CLCC for trailruns.

Thanks! I'm only getting into the 4 wheeling scene and just modified my LC a bit so I'm not looking for anything too difficult. :/ I'll be sure to come visit you guys on the first Wednesday in March. I tried looking for info on dues or other information about the club with no luck.

Shoe Creek is not a difficult trail.
There are several trails that shoot off of the main trail but most of that property is private and I would not venture off the main trail
Some people will tell you that it is ok to go off the main trail but I have been going there for years and we dont go off of the main trail.
Most of the main trail as well travels through private land
The trail for the most part is fairly easy with a couple of hard spots nothing to bad, a stock 4x4 can run this trail
If you go there please tread lightly because there are not to many places in VA that are legal to wheel so lets keep the few that we have.

Cool. We'll be glad for you to swing by. I believe the CLCC dues are $25, but i'm not certain. We usually meet inside of Kilroys in the restaurant section.
If you're free on the 25th of Feb a few of us will be working on the TLCA Raffle Truck in Manassas. PM "Thornton" for the address if you're interested in wrenching on a fj40 and meeting a few of the guys. I learn something new every time we have a tech-day.

Great! I know exactly where that is off Braddock Road exit. Used to be my neck of the woods during my HS and college days.

How long do you expect the event on the 25th to last? I have to be at work till rought 4:30pm. I'll try my best to make it because I too look forward to learning more about 4 wheeling.
