Hi All,
It's been quite a while since I've been on Mud. So cool to see so many of you keeping the 80's spirit alive. I'm jonesing to getting back into running some trails. As many of you know I sold the 80 years ago and have my trusty Tacoma. My first love is still the 80 and I much prefer the company of So Cal 80's folks on the trails rather than others. I have many great memories of trail runs with a lot of you and my kids are always asking to go back to Pismo!

Is there a upcoming trail run link that I didn't notice? Anyhow, hope to crash one of your parties and see some familiar face and meet some new ones.

best,
David...

Welcome back old friend! Watched your bicycle saga via facebook. Glad you are ok.

No runs planned in this group right now. Pismo, formerly Surf-n-turf, now Turf-n-Surf is Nov. 7-9. Sethzilla has picked up organizing it. PismoJim bowed out after 10 years in 2011. Nobody really ran with the organization until Seth picked it up last year, so it seems to be growing again. I haven't been since 2012. Not aware of any of us going this year either.

We just did a day run up to Santiago Peak a few weeks ago. Organized outings on other boards are upcoming. Moutain Rendezvous over on American Adventurist is next weekend in Big Bear, but full. Outdoor Adventure has it's BorregoFest the weekend of Oct 18-20. Nice group there too. There are a couple of Death Valley runs getting organized over on Expedition Portal as well the same weekend as Turf-n-Surf. Nothing other than that I'm aware of.

Stay in touch! Taco's are welcome!!!

Brent and Russell….glad to see you are still here. I'm going through my calendar and the kids…i'l send a few weekend options. A day trip to Miller sounds fun if it's still drivable?

Last time I did Miller Jeep Trail was summer of 2013 with the Outdoor Adventure guys. Tom Severens from Badlands 4x4 led the run. Still passable for sure. The only part torn up and getting worse at that time was the last climb up to the peak before taking the fire road down and out thru the OHV park near Gorman. What's happened to it since I don't know.

David - best of luck with your MS bike ride!!!
