I have the XBull from Amazon... Same issues as all the others compared that are not the maxtraxxs. They seem good and for the price..... Amazing. Never used them yet as well

And light pods.
I would recommend running them on the roof or higher up on the tire so that the bottom doesn’t catch when going over rocks/ledges. Sure you wouldn’t look as expo, but it’s better than breaking the clips off your trasharoo.

Once the roof rack comes in then I will be mounting them up there with actual mounts and locks!

Curious what you've found to mount them as I'm in the same boat. I found these on gumtree but no longer available. I'm hoping to find a similar setup to hold MaxTrax and long handled shovel in Quick Fist.

I am probably going to fabracobble something together myself. If it works well I can make a few sets for member's whom have went in on the $250 roof rack.

I am probably going to thread a piece of rod and use a threaded knob to secure them. I know the pins you speak of but they seem to be for Maxtrax specific design. The knockoffs I have are just a hole.

Yup! But I'll be honest, I doubt these knock offs can bend as much as they do and return to shape. But for how seldom I'll use them I am not too worried.

Thankfully have mine in hand
FWIW this is the heaviest load my MaxTrax have carried and not a warble in them. Hard to see in the photo but the entire wait of the rear driver side was supported on the pad to get over a gap in the bank we rebuilt to get these guys out.

That looks very tippy... I have access to some mounts that we can get for the shovels and such. I'll have examples up for us to look at on the 25th at Phalcon LLC work day.
