Got winter tires installed this morning with new TPMS sensors. I put the tmps button in for "2nd set" mode before dropping the car off. The tech said he was familiar with the 2nd set functionality and programmed the sensor IDs to the "2nd set" through the OBD port.
But when I drove home the tpms light was on the whole time. It only turned off once I pressed the button out going back to "main" mode.
When i put the car in 2nd set mode should I have had the tech program the tpms to the primary at that point in the tpms computer? Like by having it in 2nd set mode does that flip what is main/secondary for programming in the tpms computer?
Would like to be able to just swap between seasons and be good but i see a trip to the tire shop in the spring to get it working correctly again for the summer tires.
