Bump for a good cause.

Dave, mind if I cross post this on socalfjcruiserforums? There will be interest from the FJC owners.

Yes, but i dont know what model. Im not donating it. We will have other raffle prizes too. Everyone that shows up gets a ticket for their toy. We also will have plenty of dogs, chili, chips, sodas and water. oh and there will be rigs to check out!

Dave,

Outstanding event!! I could not believe how many people and vehicles were there! Met a lot of folks and a lot of great over-landing stories.

Can't wait for next year's Toys for Tots! I'll let you tell the twist in the tale for next year.

.

Thanks everyone that came out and made this a success even with the speed bump we had. It made for some real excitement. All in all i think we collected in upwards of 175 toys or so.

Congrats to Ryan for winning most toys donated trophy - 18 toys! Also, to MathewP for furthest driven to event! And lastly, for most decorated rig(s) went to the couple with the Horizon and FJ Cruiser (im drawing a blank on their names!)

Big thanks to the Marines for coming out and helping us collect the toys, you guys were very professional and hard working.

I also want to thank all the vendors for donating raffle prizes and supporting our event, you brought smiles to many peoples faces.. they are great companies that didn't even flinch when i asked them if they wanted to get involved. Please support them as they did us..

Also, i'd like to publicly thanks Mike Hiscox *(MHISCOX) from the 'Portal for sponsoring the food & the porta potties. Without you Mike, our event wouldn't have happened man. For that we thank you.

I'll work on a event report shortly here today and see if i can get it up by tonight with all our photos taken by Linda (SUNTINEZ) on the 'Portal.

Thanks again everyone and see you in 2011! Possibly at Camp Pendleton for an even greater event!

Thanks for setting this up. Had a great time and so did my FJC buddies. Stuck around till the end and hung out w/ Scottydog, Rallyroo and another 80 but can't remember his name. Great bunch of guys. Also, ran into Brent on the way out and followed him on the 57. Nice rig man!

Thanks Bruno. She's down at SD Trux as of yesterday afternoon. Got a PM from Bluetribal saying that as of the time he dropped off his truck, mine was still OK. Small world our cruiser community!

I missed the party. Didn't get out there until 2:30 and the last 4 rigs were in the parking lot and heading out. Bruno filled me in on the issues with campus police. Too bad. I'll get my toys to a TfT drop box somewhere.

Delayed in getting out there. My BIL was hosting a prospective member Saturday morning in our group and turns out I knew him from my tennis playing days so I stayed for lunch. Didn't leave Laguna Niguel until about 1:45. Oh well. Pics looked like a great turn out for a great cause.

Dave - overnight on one of the Pendleton campgrounds next year sounds fantastic. Hope you can pull that off with the Marines!!
