Wanted to see if you guys have retailers that deal in Toyo tires and what the prices are like. Here we are stuck with Les Schwab for tires and they don't budge on prices and I think are marked up from what could be found other places. I love the M55s and am interested in the MTRs

Thanks,

Thanks,

I just bought a set of 5 255/85R16 M55s on Tuesday. I got to try them out on packed snow/ice and slick dirt/mud the past few days. So far, so good.

icy road up to Oyama Lake:

I think I need spacers though:

compared to 35x12.50R15 BFG MTs:

There was about $600 difference between the highest and lowest local quotes for a set of 5 Toyo M55s. I'll post up prices when I get home.

I have some small ones on my stock 40 and love them. They work great in all conditions, they just get real expensive down there for the larger sizes and you can't "shop around" as Schwabs is the only retailer. Too bad thats the biggest size in the M55s.

I shopped around Vancouver, BC, and finally got the best price on my BFGs at Tireland at 275 Kingsway. I don't know if they handle Toyo. I've heard that Costco has good prices when you factor in the installation, valves, balancing, etc. Here is a link to other tire shops in BC:
http://www.wctd.ca/bc.htm that might be of help.

Wow, what a spread. Looks like Tireland is the place to go. Are they on the mainland too? doesn't matter. Wifes been wanting to take a trip up to Vancouver Island anyway.

I suppose with the way gas is going, I would spend the extra $300 in gas and food.

Looks like Schwab is in the middle

255/85R16 $1378.75US/$1621.38CA
285/75R16 $1457US/17$13.40CA

Thanks for the quote info.

Don't do 285/75 r16... to wide for a 60 IMOP

255 is perfect.

In fact I prefer 235/85R16. I have a 2.5 lift and my 235/85's fit best. A 255 makes it an almost inch taller and almost an inche wider. 235 is a great width.

285 is too wide.

M55 is a great tire. Our work trucks have them on few trucks. We even stud them for winter.
