IDave, can I inherit your cruisers when you croak? They're the best ones I've seen.

It was going to be a surprise, but I guess I'll let it out now: I put you in my will just last week...:D
 
I tow my 17 ft bass boat on a regular basis with no problems, and a hunting gear trailer up into the mountains for my elk hunts.

However, short wheelbase is a problem towing almost anything long and heavy.

I have drum brakes, but keep them maintained and adjusted, so stopping is not a problem.


Short wheelbased trailers can be a problem too, if you have to much weight in back of the axle's. 20 years ago,I used to tow a home-made trailer filled with firewood. First time I filled it with wood, I had more weight back of the axle. Pretty scarey fishtailing down the highway. Found out later that I needed more weight in front of the axle, took care of the fishtailing and the white knuckles. Rick
