Cool. I use an Equalizer Hitch as well. I have to say that when disconnecting the trailer... dropping the truck into low position is AWESOME!!

My 2011 has an off button, though I've never tested it. I did use my LX470's Off button once or twice and seem to remember it only turned off in certain situations.
Regarding the comments about using the AHC to pick up and drop the tongue:. Yup! Incredibly convenient with that new fangled back up camera! Put the truck down in Low, back up until the ball is under the tongue, jump out for a safety check, bump it up to High, shut the door and watch her hook up!
Mine has an off button too, but it turns back on when coming up to speed. I can't remember at what point it seems to turn back on by itself, but I know I've seen it do it.
