I've been watch the TDF every evening. Contador must have many things on his mind this year as he keeps finding new ways to crash. WTF?
I can't believe how after 3-4 hours in the saddle, the riders can still spank a Cat.2 climb over and over again.

Over here in France for the Summer, so watching when get a chance on TV.
Off to watch the back-to-back Galibier stages as of Wednesday, a five or so hour drive through the Alps from our place. Taking the wife and five-year old for their first time camping at Le Tour. Should be fun as always.
Will take a few pics and post once back home.

Just got back tonight after three days "en-Tour"
Day 1 - Packed up and headed out early to drive up the spine of the Alps. Bloody Volvo was packed to the roof with all of our gear...holds about 1/4 what the 80 can handle. Actually had 10cm of snow at the top of the Bonnette, which is the highest road in Europe, and only two hours from our place. Watched the Peloton fly through Briançon just after my five-year-old lost his lunch after we descended the Izoard. Set up camp on the Lautaret.
Day 2 - Hike to the 4km mark from the top of the Galibier with the
and our five year old. Not bad for the little guy to make it up at least 600m of climbing over seven km. Rained and hailed on us, but cleared up fairly well for the riders when they came through hours later. Andy was flying, and Cadel was hauling the rest of the leaders up the mountain. He looked better than most. Voeckler has the strangest out of the saddle climbing position I have ever seen.
Day 3 - Wake up and have a little breakfast then climb the Galibier. Summit in under 45 minutes, and only passed in the final km by one rider. Not too bad indeed for an old fart. Was effing cold, though, especially when descending. Head back down the hill to have a snack, then watch the riders come past the Lautaret at speed. Actually get off the mountain easier than during the Armstrong years for sure, and end up in Italy (Sestriere) for the night, and in a hotel for a hot shower and excellent cuisine.
