Cool. Both look like cool upgrades for your rig. The stock console is kinda inadequate. The steel would fitthe original styling of the truck. Definately on the list of upgrades for my rig.

the 62 models will be a PIA when fitting the console.

hopefully you will check this again... can you elaborate on the process? why is it a PITA? is it totally doable? worth it?

Do a search on "Tuffy FJ62" and you'll find a recent thread on mounting a Tuffy in a 62, with the stock rear heater in place. It's doable.

Anything is doable, just sometimes not a "bolt-in" application. The 62 with the heater underneath the center console is not a "bolt-in". To me, I find this to be a PIA, although I'm not saying it's not doable. Clear as mud.
